Assess. Don’t Guess.
01
Sport Specific Movement Assessment
A hitter’s swing is only as efficient as their body allows them to be based on how they move. We identify physical inhibitors of efficient, powerful swings and assign exercises to correct them.
02
Video Capture and Analysis
Advanced video analysis is utilized to look at 13 different inhibitors of not only power, but also efficiency – the ability to adapt to changes in pitch speed and location.
03
Individualized Reports
A comprehensive report is produced to look at all the data and assessments.
We will work with you to create a personalized plan to help you achieve the most out of your swing in the shortest amount of time.

The Meat and Potatoes.
You’ve seen how we measure it. This is how we DO it.
Bat Speed, Bat Speed, and Bat Speed.
We use a variety of weighted bats (overloaded, underloaded, barrel loaded, handle loaded) to improve kinematic sequencing & hand/wrist strength- the building blocks of elite hand and barrel speed.
Barrel Control
Bat speed is needed to hit bombs, but useless if not on plane with the pitch. Utilizing specialized drills and bat varieties (skinny, long, short), athletes gain the ability to control their barrel through the zone and improve on plane efficiency.
Swing Decisions
To beat great pitchers, hitters must learn to think like a pitcher and learn to attack the pitches they can hit the hardest. Advanced swing decision drills will help young hitters learn the pro-level approach to hitting.
Take one of our players recently for example. She already had great bat speed and averaged a homerun every 8.5 at bats in the Fall Season after a massive 10 mph bat speed increase from Fall 2024 to Fall 2025. She went through several cycles of the performance and hitting training phases during that 12-month period.
Now recently, this same player has added 3 more mph to her average bat speed between mid-October and late December through our continued physical and hitting performance programming.
We do our part, and we let the math take care of the rest.
It’s estimated that 1 mph of gained bat speed will yield an additional 1.2 mph in exit velocity. Assuming a well struck line drive with a 30-degree launch angle, it’s estimated that 1 mph of increased exit velocity will cause a softball to travel approximately 5 ft further. Simple multiplication then shows that a 1 mph increase in bat speed will yield ~6 ft longer distance on a 30-degree line drive.
So our player who added 3 mph of bat speed during the first half of the 2025 offseason will produce approximately additional 18 feet of distance on a well hit ball! Doubles and triples last season near the fence now become even more homeruns.

Working with Coach Rich has been an incredible experience for both my daughter and me. He is extremely approachable, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in his athletes.
Coach Rich does a phenomenal job breaking down each drill and movement, helping my daughter understand not only what she is doing, but why she is doing it. As a result, I’ve noticed a significant increase in her confidence and her ability to quickly assess and self-correct at the plate.
What I appreciate most is Coach Rich’s ability to challenge my daughter while keeping her excited and motivated about training. His passion for the game is contagious and creates an environment where athletes want to push themselves to improve.
At the conclusion of every training session, Coach Rich has never hesitated to stay late to answer questions or recommend drills tailored to my daughter’s specific needs and areas for improvement. His personalized training plan has also encouraged my daughter to consistently put in extra work on her own, without being prompted.
If your daughter aspires to become a better softball player or hopes to play at the collegiate level, Coach Rich is the perfect person for the job.
